Homewood Suites University City Provides Energy Efficiency Tour to GPHA Engineers
The Greater Philadelphia Hotel Association (GPHA) partnered with Evolution Energy Partners to host a Hotel Engineering Tour at the Homewood Suites University City. The tour was part of the GPHA Engineering Committee and its goal to provide education and training to hotel engineers in Philadelphia.
BERDO 2.0: Updates to Boston’s Building Energy Reporting and Disclosure Ordinance
Late last year, the City of Boston introduced BERDO 2.0, a revised version of the 2013 Building Energy Reporting and Disclosure Ordinance (BERDO). BERDO aims to decrease building emissions, requiring Boston’s large and medium-sized buildings to report their annual energy and water use, limit greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and complete an energy action and assessment every five years.
What is the Building Performance Standards Coalition?
In January, the Biden Administration announced the creation of the Building Performance Standards Coalition to strengthen building performance standards across the United States. The coalition includes a partnership between 33 state and local governments and the federal government to facilitate and implement new measures to reduce emissions, create jobs, and lower energy bills.
